Philosophy

Azzcat Design is about balance. Just as flavors must be balanced in a delicate sauce, or shapes on a picture plane, so must be life. Specifically, it’s about balancing work, talents, and interests with family and community. It’s about creativity, practicality, flexibility & dependability—all at once.

Azzcat Design is a continuing supporter of the Tualatin community. This year, Azzcat Design is a proud sponosor of the Tualatin Crawfish Festival and has created newspaper ads, a promotional poster, and other materials for the annual event. During the last three years, Azzcat Design donated over 430 hours to The Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools, helping to bolster district educational funding. In 2007 Catherine received the FTTS Volunteer of the Year Award. Catherine’s many years of in-class volunteering have included fine art, design, garden, and reading instruction.

Next of course, is sustainability. Azzcat Design is doing its very best to reduce the carbon footprint left behind. One choice with client projects is the utilization of recycled materials. Azzcat Design is proud to announce that The City of Tualatin is distributing Tualatin Today, the city’s monthly newsletter, on 100% PCW paper. Launching in December, 2008, is The City of Tualatin’s new tri-annual GetOut! Guide, on 70% PCW paper.

Balance. Combine what you love with what you need. Always do your best work, but don’t let the work become precious—and do it with a sense of humor. Never, ever, forget that today’s really cool newspaper ad is likely tomorrow’s kitty litter liner. ;-) Balance!
